Mr. James Ntim Amponsah is the Deputy Controller and Accountant-General in charge of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Prior to his occupying this position, he was Deputy Controller and Accountant- General in charge of Treasuries. He has also held the position of a Deputy in charge of Financial Management Services (FMS) from June 2008 to August 2009.
He started his career at Unilever International Audit Department and later joined the Franco Wood Processing Complex (FWPC ), an international joint venture between Ghanaian and Dutch and rose to become the General Manager and Chief Executive of the Company.
He had also worked as Group Chief Accountant at the erstwhile Ghana Industrial Holding Corporation (GIHOC). He joined CAGD in June 2008 as Deputy Controller and Accountant- General.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana).Mr Amponsah also studied at the School of Administration, University of Ghana for his under graduate degree.
