ARII protects children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence in Africa and beyond.
There is an increasing number of children who walk down the street, with no cloths on, no place to lay their heads and even what to eat is a daily struggle. These children have no one to turn to. Some young girls, as young as nine years have to be raped every day before they could have access to life basics. Some are forced to leave their homes due to poverty and poor cultural practices including forced marriage.
These children can be particularly vulnerable to exploitation. Their work is often hidden from the scrutiny of the public eye and they may be isolated and/or working far away from their family home. A situation that poses greater challenge.
The root cause of this is poverty, poor child support system, and lack of or dysfunctional child protection policies . ARII believes that together change is possible.
